Night ~ Hatfield Peverel ~ Something
Different ! ~ "DOUBLE YOUR MONEY" ' A 'super fit' team consisting of Eifion 'Rocky' Hughes, Peter 'Pretty-boy' Smith, 'Beautiful' Babs Roberts and 'Stunning' Sandra Goff mesmerized the onlookers with some 'top notch' bowling at the Hatfield Peveral Bowls Club. It was a pleasure to witness 'Pretty-boy' gliding down the mat after his wood like a principal dancer from 'Swan Lake'. The evening was excellently organized by John and Jan Franklin. As well as the bowls, John and Jan also served refreshments that was gratefully 'gulped' by the participants after the completion of the bowls. The Franklins must have spent hours in the kitchen producing such a scrumptious array of food. Our thanks are extended to them both for such an enjoyable evening. A grand total of £200.67p was raised for the Senior Captain's Charity (The Helen Rollason Cancer Charity) from the evening's entertainment. Thank you all for your contribution. Eifion. P. S. I have been promised a contribution from a person (who shall be nameless) that forgot to turn up for the event so the final total should exceed £200.67p |

Tuesday 25th February 2014 | Bowls
Night ~ Hatfield Peverel
25th February was a night of extreme skill and enjoyment followed by a lovely buffet organised for the 10th year by John & Janet Franklin. My grateful thanks go to them both for their hard work for which they raised a grand £189 for my charity. They make it look easy but I know they put a lot of effort into making the evening a sucsess, also overcoming the problem of the water being turned off. Thanks again John & Janet. PR |
