Music Evening & Buffet Supper
at Ingatestone Hall
A very successful evening was held here thanks to the kindness of Lord Petre.
'Musicality' provided the excellent entertainment, which was followed by a most
enjoyable supper.
Thanks to the generosity of those who attended the evening, the total amount
raised for the Willow Foundation was over £2,400. We are also
indebted to Barclays Bank Plc who matched the £750 raised by the raffle to
a total of £1500. Well Done, Wrings! |

Visit to RHS
Garden - Hyde Hall

around Hyde Hall and its new extension by Jan Bowket. The weather was kind and
members had a splendid time seeing the "Queen Mother's Garden" among
many other exquisite flower and plant displays. |

Nearly New
Sale
We arrived very early at the United Reform Church Hall, armed with clothes
rails and price ticketing machines to get ready for the rush of people who
would soon be queing outside with their 20p's for rapid entrance.
We set-up great display but also managed to try on some of the latest Haute
Couture frocks & dresses. We served coffee as well.
The flood of visitors evaporated in the sunshine, giving us time to give
personal attenton to our clients as they tried on garments.
The lack of customers must reflect how well off for clothes our local community
seems to be; however, well over £200 profit was made and fellowship was
evident in profusion.. |

Myram
Procter: 1944 - 2002
We were all so very sad when our dear friend Myram Procter passed away on the
23rd may. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her. Myram was a
member of Wrings and will be greatly missed. She was so brave during her
illness showing great courage to us all.
The Crematorium and Ingatestone Parish Church were filled to capacity for the
funeral, in fact the church had never been so full. It was a great tribute to
Myram and it showed how very much she was loved.
In September 2001, Myram and Pam organised a Ladies Golf Day at Bursted Golf
Club, in aid of Breast Cancer. It was a great success and a sizeable cheque was
handed over to Broomfield Hospital.
Myram enjoyed golf immensely, also indoor bowling and bridge. Last time we
played, Myram won and beat us.
She also enjoyed the trips organised by Ingatestone Rotary, such as skiing
holidays and weekends away. Myram had a great sense of humour and she
frequently had us in fits of laughter with her impersonations when you would
suddenly see her with a black tooth in her mouth and we would all be
laughing.
Our hearts go out to dear Brian, Gavin, Sarah and their grandson Callum and
family. Rotary and WRINGS will be a sad place without her.
